Short version: we do not sell anything to anyone, we do not build a profile of you, and nothing is measured unless you say yes first. The longer version is below, in plain language rather than legal language.

Reading these pages requires nothing from you. We do not ask you to log in, we do not place an advertising cookie, and we do not follow you to other websites.
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, as every web server does. Those records exist to keep the site running and secure, not to identify our guests.
Since 23 August 2026 we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read and which search brought them here. We use that to make the site better. We do not use it to recognise you personally, and we do not use it for advertising.
This only happens if you agree. A small bar at the bottom of the page asks you once. As long as you have not chosen, and if you choose "No thanks", Google Analytics is never loaded, no cookie is set, and not one piece of data reaches Google. Your answer is stored in your own browser, and you can undo it at any time by clearing the site data for villagaspar.com, which makes the question appear again.
If you do agree, Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, and Google then sees your IP address and which pages you read on this site.
The availability form asks for your name, your email address and your message. We use those three things to answer you, and for nothing else. They reach us by email and stay in our mailbox, the same as any other message from a guest. We do not add you to a mailing list.
The "Ask Gaspar" assistant at the corner of the page is provided by FastBots. What you type into it is processed by that service so it can answer you. Please do not type personal details into the chat; use the availability form or email for anything that concerns your booking.
Nobody buys it and nobody rents it. The only outside parties involved are the ones named on this page, and the hosting and email providers that deliver the site and our messages.
Booking a stay may take you to a partner platform, such as the agency that handles our calendar. Once you are on their site, their own privacy statement applies, not ours.
Messages about a stay stay in our mailbox as long as they are useful for that conversation and for our own records. Analytics data, if you agreed to it, is kept by Google for 14 months and then deleted.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@villagaspar.com and we will answer. If you think we handled your data badly, you may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels).
If we start measuring something new, this page says so before it happens, and the consent question comes back. That is how the analytics section above came to exist.
